For Child Care and Preschool Education Professionals: Resources and Information

Whether you are just entering the field or are a seasoned provider, P.E.T. is here to help. Our staff works to keep Hampden County professionals up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of Early Care and Education. The resources and support we have available can help you provide the highest quality of care for children and families. Technical Assistance
 We can talk with you and supply written materials for your program. We can help with support groups and networking, information on subsidy programs, inclusion of children with disabilities, career counseling, information on child care rates and salaries, and much more. Call or email us.

Training Calendar
 We offer a wide variety of workshops, training series, conferences and distance learning in the greater Springfield, MA area. See our current training schedule and register on line!

Newsletter
Several times a year all area licensed child care centers and family child care homes receive our newsletter, which includes our current Training Calendar. If you live outside of our service area and would like to receive our newsletter by mail, call us.

Consultation to Centers
We consult to centers to assist with National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Accreditation, issues relating to individual children, and day-to-day issues that come up in your program. Call or email us for details.

Professional Development
P.E.T. can assist with agency as well as individual development needs. We help get you connected with professional early childhood associations and credentials, such as NAEYC Accreditation, CDA, and NAFCC. We can help with career planning as well.

On line Resources
We connect you to other agencies and resources so that you can make your child care program the very best. Visit our links page for important online resources for child care professionals.

Career Planning Center
Advancing your career in the early childhood field can sometimes be confusing. We can help you figure out the next steps you will need in your professional and career development. Our Career Planning Center and early childhood career counselors have many resources that can assist you. Call us for details.

Mass Pike Exit 6 - Springfield, at light at end of ramp turn left onto Rt. 291. Follow Rt. 291 to Exit 2B Dwight Street Exit, at end of ramp take left at light (this is Dwight St.). Through 4 sets of lights, turn right onto Bridge Street. Our office, at 293 Bridge Street, is on the left next to Cafe Manhattan.
From Rt. 91 South Exit 7 Downtown Springfield - stay in left lane and turn left at light, then left again onto E. Columbus. Turn right onto Worthington, through one light (Main St.) turn right onto Stearns and right onto Bridge Street. Our office, at 293 Bridge Street, is on the left next to Cafe Manhattan.
From Rt. 91 North Exit 4 Broad St., you are on East Columbus. Go through lights, turn right onto Worthington, right onto Stearns, right onto Bridge Street. Our office, at 293 Bridge Street, is on the left next to Cafe Manhattan.
