For Families: Free Child Care Information and Referrals"We just moved to the Greater Springfield area - will we ever
find the right child care center for our schedule?"
Finding a quality center or program for your child takes time and energy, but it is the most important step toward a successful child care experience. Whether you are trying to find child care for your infant, toddler, preschooler, school age child, or child with a disability, the Preschool Enrichment Team Child Care counselors, located in the heart of Springfield, Massachusetts, are ready to guide you through the process by answering your questions. They can give you information about child care centers and programs in Hampden County and several towns in Hampshire County, or refer you to a similar agency in your area. P.E.T. can help determine if you are eligible for subsidies, explain the different types of programs, and help you develop and maintain a relationship with your provider. Call 413-736-3900 or toll free at 877-478-7727 to speak with a Child Care counselor or use the interactive child care referral form to begin the process. With funds from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and the Department of Education, these services are available at no charge.
